REIJNDERS IS THE MVP FROM AC MILAN v CLUB BRUGGE | OneFootball

A historic brace that sees his name amongst the liked of van Basten and Seedorf on the list of Dutchmen to have scored more than once for AC Milan in a Champions League game. Tijjani Reijnders was chosen as MVP from our 3-1 win over Club Brugge by our fans: chosen on the  AC Milan Official App, the prize awards him for his very first Rossoneri brace.

As of last night, our number 14 can boast a goal in each of the three European competitions: with AZ Alkmaar he bagged in the Conference League and in a Rossoneri shirt he scored in the Europa League during AC Milan v Slavia Praha. What we'll remember from the win over the Belgians will certainly be Reijnders' two goals, both coming in a similar way. First the low shot assisted by Okafor, then the grasscutter to finish off the run from Chukwueze down the right. Two big goals at a key moment. Crucial. Tijji beat out Noah and Sammy, as well as other goalscorer of the evening Christian Pulisic, in the vote.

The brace topped off a performance made of solidity and quality in the midfield, as well as an ever-growing tandem with Fofana, capable of elevating Fonseca's side's performance. The best way to bounce back after the sending off against Udinese, the mark of a leader who has helped to get us back in the fight for the Champions League: well done, Tijji!
