The Red Devils suffered another defeat in the Premier League at the weekend, this time against Thomas Frank’s Brentford side.

Ruben Amorim is putting all his eggs in one basket by relying on the Europa League to provide them with Champions League football next season.

He rotated the team and gave an opportunity to the fringe players against Brentford and the home side enjoyed playing against them.

It was another match that showed that United need attackers this summer and in order to strengthen that department, they are ready to target a move for a Brentford player.

Man United want Brentford’s Mbuemo

Man United are ready to step up their pursuit of Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, valued at £60 million, according to The Telegraph.

Their interest comes on top of United willing to agree a deal to sign Wolves attacker Matheus Cunha.

Mbeumo, 25, has been instrumental for Brentford, netting 18 goals this season, surpassing Cunha’s tally of 15.

His versatility allows him to operate effectively across the front line, offering United a dynamic option to bolster their attack.

United’s interest in both Mbeumo and Cunha, whose release clause stands at £62.5 million, indicates how desperate they are to add quality and depth to their attack.

Having seen players like Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee struggle to score goals this season, United are ready to invest big money on improving their attacking options.

They need goal scorers in the team and both Mbuemo and Cunha have scored plenty of goals this season.

Currently positioned 15th in the Premier League with three games remaining, United’s season has been marred by inconsistent performances and injuries to key players.

The potential signings of both Mbuemo and Cunha will make them a threat when it comes to attacking options.
