Manchester United have unveiled their 21-man squad for the Europa League clash against FCSB on Thursday evening.
Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw are notable absentees from the squad that has travelled to Bucharest.
Rashford has been part of the matchday squad only once in the last 12 matches.
Manager Ruben Amorim does not believe that Rashford has shown full commitment to him in the training sessions.
The England international went public with his desire to leave the club.
European giants like Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund are eyeing a move for Rashford.
The financial uncertainties around Barcelona make his move to Spain unlikely.
Dortmund sacked their manager earlier this month which has disrupted any deal between all the parties involved.
AC Milan were leading the race to sign him on loan, but they chose Kyle Walker to fill the only vacant spot in their squad for a British player.
With less than a week remaining in the current window, Rashford faces a race against time to find a new club.
Previously described as ‘unstoppable‘, Rashford no longer has a future at United until he mends his relationship with Amorim.
Shaw has played merely three times this season, with all his appearances coming from the bench.
He suffered a fresh muscular injury in December that left him ‘absolutely devastated’.
The left-back returned to full training on Wednesday, handing Amorim a big boost ahead of the business end of the season.
Man United confirmed that “it is still too soon for him to be involved”.
Amorim may not take any risks with Shaw, especially with the imminent arrival of Patrick Dorgu from Lecce.
United are unbeaten in the European competition and a win against FCSB will hand United an automatic place in the round of 16.
