Arsenal’s afternoon has just been made a lot more difficult.
The north London side have struggled in the opening exchanges of their clash at Bournemouth with the Cherries keeping the Gunners at bay.
But with 30 minutes gone, Mikel Arteta’s side have gone down to 10 men with the Video Assistant Referee coming to Bournemouth’s aid.
William Saliba fouled Evanilson just inside his own half but the referee was sent to the VAR screen after having initially given a yellow card.
That was overturned though and the centre-back was given his marching orders instead.
Saliba will now miss Arsenal’s clash with Liverpool.
