Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani is facing criticism for a very shaky-looking performance against Bologna yesterday.
Today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, criticize the 22-year-old for some very dangerous passes in the first half of the Serie A clash.
For the second match in a row in Serie A, Asllani was in the Inter starting eleven.
The Albanian international had previously started against Venezia on the weekend.
Against the Lagunari, Asllani had showed that he is capable of standing in for Hakan Calhanoglu when the Turk is out with injury.
However, it was a different story yesterday,
Asllani looked to be the player struggling most with Bologna’s early pressure yesterday.
The Rossoblu looked to deny the Inter midfield space. And conversely, they were aiming to exploit every gap that the Nerazzurri left in front of their defense.
And Asllani was culpable in his team being unable to play through that high pressure.
That was particularly the case with some sloppy passes.
Asllani passed the ball backwards too often. And then, when he picked his head up and tried to pass it forwards, the former Empoli midfielder gave the ball away and started Bologna counterattacks on three occasions.
