Santiago Gimenez’s move to AC Milan is a very real possibility in the January mercato, but it may be reliant on departures. So Bologna’s interest is very much welcomed.
Milan are determined to add to their front line in January, and despite an injection of money awaiting them after potentially after the game against Dinamo Zagreb, there is a need to add more funds to the kitty.
This is why the outgoing mercato will be vital, and today, there has been contact from Bologna for two of the Rossoneri’s out-of-favour forwards.
According to Corriere dello Sport (via Milan Press), the Rossoblu have approached the Diavolo asking for information about Noah Okafor and Samuel Chukwueze – who is due to be available at the weekend.
Bologna ‘intend’ to try for one of the two wingers, and it seems that a move for the latter may be more likely at this stage after the side lost their star right winger – Riccardo Orsolini – to injury.
The report suggests that a dry loan is the consideration currently, rather than a purchase or even a loan with a buy clause. Whilst the Rossoneri ‘intend to sell a few’ to aid the purchase of Gimenez, it would temporarily lower the wage bill, which would be of assistance to Milan, definitely.
