A lot of words and talk of engagement etc etc.

Yet I am not convinced that there is a lot of listening goes on from the Newcastle United hierarchy, with many areas never improving.

The ticketing website is still a nightmare in so many ways, whilst how both home and away tickets are sold/distributed is far from ideal…

Newcastle United official announcement – 16 October 2024:

Newcastle United launch Fan Engagement Plan for 2024-25

Newcastle United has launched its annual Fan Engagement Plan for the 2024-25 season, as part of the Premier League’s Fan Engagement Standard.

Setting out the club’s overall approach to fan engagement the plan highlights the activities that the club will deliver during the season, and demonstrates a passion for putting fans at the heart of everything the club does.

With a commitment to collaborative, constructive and consistent engagement with supporters, the FEP ensures fans have an opportunity to inform the club’s decision making at all levels through a number of different channels, including liaison with the Fan Advisory Board, supporters’ groups, representative groups and our wider fanbase, both in the UK and overseas.

Following supporter feedback and recommendations, this season the football club will launch an Official Supporters Club network, enabling the growth of the club’s domestic and international fanbase, create a ‘young persons’ fan forum for 18-25-year-olds and work with fans to improve a number of matchday experiences, including further development of the Newcastle United app and website.

Newcastle United CEO, Darren Eales, said: “We are proud to build on our Fan Engagement Plan after its launch last season.

“Last season we delivered on our promise to our supporters, building our connection to be even stronger than before. Through our engagement we have taken a number of learnings and recommendations and we are putting them into practise over the course of the season.
