There are a few problems with Chelsea right now, and very few players can say they’ve been good all season.
Moises Caicedo is one of them, but even his form is suffering right now.
His SofaScore ratings show that since late November in the Premier League, after a run of six games in a row with a score of 7.1 or above since late , Caicedo only reached 7.0 twice from in the following 6. He’s started every Premier League game this season and only been subbed off twice. That’s a crazy total of 2038 minutes played of 2070 possible.

Of course these numbers are just vague assessments of his form, but it illustrates what we can all see on the pitch. He does the running for half of this team – it’s really just him on his own in there once Enzo Fernandez gets forward. It’s actually pretty impressive he’s made it this far without breaking down.
Not only is he fading as he’s run into the ground, he’s also racking up his chances of an injury. There was a horrible moment against Wolves earlier this week where he looked hurt, and our season really flashed before our eyes in that moment. How can a team which has been burned so bad by injuries in recent seasons be so careless with its key players like this?
Even WITH Caicedo fit we lack depth in his position in the middle (hence the fact he has to play every minute of every game). If he were to go down, we can only imagine the damage to our results.
The season is resting on his hamstrings, and they’re being stretched to the limit. We’ve got just over a week to rest now before our next game – boy does Moises need it.
