They travelled to Tannadice knowing they needed a point to seal the title, and were well aware that a clean sheet would deliver just that.

However, this side were in no mood to settle for just that. Callum McGregor talked about sprinting over the line, and, that’s exactly what his side did after a testing start when Dundee United were pressing.

The champions grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck and an own goal simply paved the way for the Hoops’ third successive five-goal tally after doubles by Nicolas Kuhn and Adam Idah brought the victory, and the title, the Celts deserved.
