It was only a few weeks ago that Genk and Sint Truiden played out a pulsating Limburg derby, with five goals and two red cards. It was the league leaders Genk who prevailed that afternoon, yet the Canaries of Sint Truiden will be hoping for revenge back at home.

Sint Truiden are smarting after a 7-0 thrashing at the hands of Club Brugge last weekend. The side were well beaten and it will concern fans given that this is the second heavy defeat of the season. Things had improved under Felice Mazzu and the experienced head coach will be hoping that this was just a minor blip. Adriano Bertaccini scored twice against Genk in the reverse fixture on the 20th of October and he will be hoping to add to his eight goals already this season. The side have done okay at home since changing head coach, with an overall record of played seven, won three, drawn three and lost one.

Genk helped themselves to a 3-0 victory over Charleroi on their return to action following the international break. Toluwalase Arokodare ensured he stays ahead of Bertaccini in the goal scoring charts as he grabbed number nine for the season. Yet all three goals came late in the piece, something that may concern head coach Thorsten Fink. The side remain to of the table with 11 wins in 15 games, scoring an impressive 31 goals. They have the second best away record in the Pro League with four wins and three defeats from seven games. However, they do concede more away from home.

With Club Brugge having beaten Dender on Saturday, Genk will want to ensure they maintain a gap to the defending champions.
