‘Strong possibility’ Manchester United will bid for Dusan Vlahovic | OneFootball

Manchester United are keen on bringing Dusan Vlahovic to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window, according to a report.

TuttoJuve has reported that Man United are interested in a summer deal for Vlahovic.

The report has revealed that there is “a strong possibility” that Man United will make a bid for the Serbia international striker, who was linked with a move to Arsenal in the January transfer window.

Juventus are willing to sell the 25-year-old, who is “lightning” and whose “left foot is like a wand”, according to former Manchester City and Fiorentina defender Micah Richards on BBC Radio 5 Live in December 2021.

The Italian giants want €40 million (£33.63 million) in transfer fees for Vlahovic.

Man United need to sign a top-quality striker in the summer transfer window, and there is no doubt that Vlahovic would be an upgrade on what they have at the moment.

Rasmus Hojlund is only 22 now and is still developing as a footballer.

The Denmark international is not very prolific and has scored only 23 goals and made just four assists in 81 appearances for Man United since his move from Italian club Atalanta in 2023.

Joshua Zirkzee is not a natural number nine and has scored six goals and made two assists in 43 matches for the Red Devils.

Vlahovic may not have had the best of times at Juventus, but there is no doubt about his natural ability and finishing prowess.

The Serbian is a more mature player than Hojlund and Zirkzee at the age of 25 and would be able to give Man United a better focal point in attack.

Vlahovic has scored 55 goals and made 11 assists in 135 matches for Juventus.

If €40 million (£33.63 million) is all that Juventus are asking for Vlahovic, then Man United should pay it and seal the deal.
